De eerste is dat bedrijven de innovatie- en concurrentievaardigheden van medewerkers moeten benutten en ontwikkelen om zich in de kennismaatschappij staande te houden. Ten tweede moet de arbeidsproductiviteit omhoog gebracht worden om de welvaart en sociale zekerheid te waarborgen bij de gegeven demografische ontwikkelingen.&nbsp; En ten derde omdat technologische innovaties alleen werken als zij door sociale innovaties worden ondersteund of daar in ingebed zijn.<\/p>\n<p>Hoewel er vele goede voorbeelden zijn, wordt sociale innovatie in het doorsnee bedrijf niet toegepast. Beslissers tonen zich vaak sceptisch over werknemersparticipatie.<\/p>\n<p>Steeds meer Europese landen voeren programma&rsquo;s uit ter verhoging van de arbeidsproductiviteit, competentie-ontwikkeling, opleiding en innovatie.
