Het bedrijf bestaat sinds 2013 en er werken thans 300 mensen.<br \/>IBM Groningen is een van de drie cases in de TNO studie <em>&lsquo;Lerende en innovatieve organisaties&rsquo;<\/em> waarin een model voor de beschrijving van leren en innoveren in een organisatie werd ontwikkeld en getoetst aan de hand van drie cases.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Individu<br \/><\/strong>Als medewerker van dit bedrijf &lsquo;moet&rsquo; je &lsquo;willen&rsquo; blijven ontwikkelen. Verandering wordt dan gewoon. Betrokkenheid en gelijkwaardigheid zitten in de cultuur. De bedrijfsvoering is er op gericht om hi&euml;rarchie te beperken en zo medewerkers te betrekken.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Taak<br \/><\/strong>De medewerkers werken in kleine autonome teams van 5 -6 personen. Het zijn multidisciplinaire teams die een product van het begin tot het eind maken. De teams werken &lsquo;agile&rsquo;, dat wil zeggen dat ze voor een product korte sprints maken waarin een deelproduct wordt gemaakt. Dan volgt een evaluatie en reflectie die kan leiden tot stappen terug en stappen vooruit, in een iteratief proces tot het eindproduct. De medewerkers vervullen ook rollen waar in ze indirecte taken doen, zoals werkverdeler. Dat geeft op zich al variatie in taken. Op ondernemingsniveau kunnen medewerkers participeren in commissies voor het oplossen van kleinere of grotere vraagstukken.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Leidinggevenden en collega&rsquo;s<br \/><\/strong>De operationele aansturing gebeurt in de teams.<br \/>Er zijn bij IBM Groningen 20 people managers die collega&rsquo;s coachen en ondersteunen in hun professionele ontwikkeling; zij doen dat als speciale taak naast hun gewone werk. Er zijn diverse ontwikkelingstrajecten: Primary skills (bijveoorbeeld programmeren), Secundairy skills (industriekennis, agile kunnen werken&hellip;), Soft skills (communiceren, leiderschap&hellip;).<br \/>Medewerkers halen elk kwartaal feed back op bij collega&rsquo;s. Voor allen is een leerpunt constructieve feed back geven.<br \/>De organisatie is zo plat mogelijk; het management zit tussen de medewerkers op flexplekken in de kantoortuin.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Organisatie<br \/><\/strong>IBM Groningen is gebonden aan bepaalde IBM standaard werkwijzen. Maar men koestert de eigen identiteit en autonomie. Dat houdt onder andere participatie van medewerkers in de bedrijfsvoering in omdat het makkelijker en effectiever is. Een voordeel is dat IBM international ondersteunende technologi&eacute;n beschikbaar stelt en er veel collega&rsquo;s zijn waarmee kennis uitgewisseld kan worden.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Context<br \/><\/strong>Er zijn goede relaties met universiteiten, hoge scholen en studenten verenigingen en netwerken in Noord Nederland.
