Insights from Employment in Social Enterprises Providing Long-Term Eldercare Services.<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong><span>&nbsp;<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><span><strong>2018<\/strong> &ndash; De auteurs van dit artikel &ndash; allen werkzaam bij de Katholieke Universiteit van Leuven (Louvain-la-Neuve) in Belgi&euml; &ndash; rapporteren over een multi-variate analyse op een bestaand databestand (uit de WISDOM-studie) van 1.134 werknemers van sociale ondernemingen (Social Enterprises, SE) werkzaam in de thuiszorg voor ouderen in Walloni&euml;.<\/span><span>&nbsp;<\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong><span>Onderzoeksvraag<br \/><\/span><\/strong><span>De vraag die centraal staat in hun analyse is of werken in een sociale onderneming zorgt voor een hogere arbeidssatisfactie en welzijn en of het betrokken zijn bij een sociaal innovatief project binnen zo&rsquo;n SE deze job satisfactie en welzijn nog verhoogt? Om die vraag te onderzoeken is de totale groep verdeeld in een subgroep die wel (SI, 238 pp. waarvan 222 vrouwen) en een subgroep die niet bij een sociaal innovatief project betrokken is (NSI,&nbsp; 896 pp. waarvan 858 vrouwen). <br \/><\/span><span>Binnen het begrip Sociale Innovatie wordt onderscheid gemaakt tussen &lsquo;diensten innovatie&rsquo; en &lsquo;workplace innovation&rsquo;. <\/span><span>&nbsp;<\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong><span>Hypotheses<br \/><\/span><\/strong><span>H1. Werknemers in een sociale onderneming zullen een hoge mate van job satisfactie en welzijn ervaren.<br \/><\/span><span>H2. Betrokkenheid bij een service innovatie zal de job satisfactie en het welzijn van de medewerkers verhogen omdat ze deel uitmaken van een nieuwe en uitdagende missie. <br \/><\/span><span>H3. De job satisfactie en het welzijn van medewerkers zal hoger zijn als ze bij een workplace innovatie betrokken zijn.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong><span>Methode<br \/><\/span><\/strong><span>Medewerkers van 10 SE&rsquo;s in de ouderenzorg participeerden in het onderzoek. Het responspercentage van 40,6% wordt bevredigend geacht. Met behulp van de Delphi-methode werden 15 sociaal innovatieve projecten binnen deze SE&rsquo;s gevonden, daarbij waren 238 mensen betrokken. Om de verschillende variabelen te meten werden schalen uit de COPSOQ II gebruikt. De schalen voor &lsquo;betrokkenheid bij het werk&rsquo; en &lsquo;betekenisvol werk&rsquo; werden &#8211; conform de literatuur &ndash; beschouwd als proxi voor jobsatisfaction. Welzijn werd gemeten met de schalen voor &lsquo;emotionele uitputting&rsquo; en &lsquo;somatische stress symptomen&rsquo;. <br \/><\/span><span>Workplace innovation werd gemeten met drie sets van schalen:<br \/><\/span><span>a.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; twee voor &lsquo;management en leiderschap&rsquo;, namelijk: &lsquo;gevoel van rechtvaardigheid&rsquo; en &lsquo;vertrouwen in het management&rsquo;;<br \/><\/span><span>b.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; twee voor &lsquo;flexibele organisatie&rsquo;, namelijk: &lsquo;voorspelbaarheid&rsquo; en &lsquo;work-life balance&rsquo;;<br \/><\/span><span>c.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; twee voor &lsquo;slimmer werken&rsquo;, namelijk &lsquo;werktempo&rsquo; en &lsquo;ruimte voor nieuwe idee&euml;n&rsquo;.<\/p>\n<p><\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong><span>Resultaten<br \/><\/span><\/strong><span>H1. werd bevestigd: werknemers in een sociale onderneming ervaren een relatief grote mate van job satisfactie en welzijn; waarschijnlijk omdat de sociale onderneming zich inzet voor een sociaal doel dat hen motiveert. Voorts ervaren werknemers een hoge mate van &lsquo;rechtvaardigheid&rsquo; en &lsquo;vertrouwen in het management&rsquo; en van &lsquo;voorspelbaarheid&rsquo;. Zij hebben minder problemen met de work-life balance, en met het werktempo. Zij kunnen &lsquo;nieuwe idee&euml;n inbrengen&rsquo; en profiteren van &lsquo;goede ontwikkelingsmogelijkheden&rsquo;.
