In het artikel wordt uitgelegd waarom een nieuw concept nodig is en wat het inhoudt.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><em>Abstract<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Banen van slechte kwaliteit en hun negatieve gevolgen voor het welzijn van werknemers worden vaak in verband gebracht met Tayloristisch werk en \u2013 steeds vaker \u2013 met losse of flexibele contracten.<\/p>\n<p>Dit manifest biedt een nieuwe benadering van de kwaliteit van arbeid om het welzijn van de werknemer beter te waarborgen. Het schetst de behoefte aan een nieuwe maatstaf voor de kwaliteit van het werk die aandacht besteedt aan zowel arbeidsvoorwaarden en contractvorm als aan arbeidsomstandigheden, arbeidsinhoud en regelmogelijkheden. Tevens schetst het een nieuwe benadering die wettelijke minimumnormen inhoudt in plaats van alleen een vrijwillige bedrijfs<\/p>\n<p>actie. Er bestaat momenteel duidelijk een ontvankelijke politiek-economische context om dit manifest te realiseren.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><em>Zeven dimensies\u00a0voor kwaliteit van de arbeid<\/em><\/p>\n<p>De auteurs beschrijven zeven dimensies voor kwaliteit van de arbeid:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Contractvorm<\/li>\n<li>Loon en secundaire arbeidsvoorwaarden\u2019<\/li>\n<li>Arbeidsinhoud en regelmogelijkheden<\/li>\n<li>Sociale ondersteuning en gemeenschapsgevoel<\/li>\n<li>Gezondheid, veiligheid en psychosociaal welzijn<\/li>\n<li>Balans arbeid-priv\u00e9<\/li>\n<li>Medezeggenschap<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>Warhurst en Knox pleiten voor de ontwikkeling van standaard maten voor deze dimensies op basis van eerder onderzoek.
