Tot op heden wordt in onderzoek technologische verandering rechtstreeks gekoppeld aan verschuivingen in het gebruik van vaardigheden; organisatieverandering wordt zelden als een be\u00efnvloedende factor beschouwd. Op basis van een panelonderzoek, gebruikt dit artikel een Luhmanniaanse benadering om de relatie tussen technologische verandering en organisatorische context te begrijpen.<\/p>\n<p>Deze theorie wordt kwantitatief getoetst en toont het belang aan van het overwegen van de aard van de werkomgeving bij het bestuderen van veranderingen in vaardigheden. De resultaten laten kleine effecten zien van de technologische verandering op het veranderende gebruik van vaardigheden, maar grotere effecten als sprake is van veranderingen in de werkomgeving. Aanbevelingen voor toekomstig onderzoek en praktische implicaties worden besproken.<\/p>\n<p>Een belangrijke conclusive is: de impact van technologie moet begrepen worden in haar organisatorische context.
