Dat hoofdstuk is hieronder samengevat.<\/p>\n<p><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><em>Twee idee\u00ebn<\/em><\/p>\n<p>In dit hoofdstuk zetten de auteurs twee idee\u00ebn uiteen. Het eerste idee is dat democratie op de werkplek overslaat naar de maatschappij en nodig is om \u2018maatschappelijke innovatie\u2019 (\u2018social innovation\u2019) te laten bloeien. Het tweede idee is dat \u2018workplace innovation\u2019 in de betekenis van kwaliteit van de arbeid en werknemers participatie, mensen aanmoedigt om mee te doen aan maatschappelijke innovatie in de gemeenschap dan wel in de politiek.<\/p>\n<p>Een belangrijke onderzoeksvraag is daarom\u00a0 of digitalisering de kwaliteit van arbeid en werknemers- participatie verhoogt of verlaagt en daarmee de participatie in de gemeenschap en in de politiek verhoogt of verlaagt.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><em>Begrippen<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Met \u2018social innovation\u2019 wordt hier bedoeld de uitvinding, ontwikkeling en implementatie van nieuwe idee\u00ebn om maatschappelijke problemen op te lossen; problemen van individuen, groepen of gemeenschappen.<\/p>\n<p>\u2018Workplace Innovation\u2019- als gedefinieerd door het European Workplace Innovation Network (EUWIN) \u2013 betreft: nieuwe en ge\u00efntegreerde interventies in de organisatie van arbeid, HR- management, arbeidsverhoudingen en ondersteunende technologie\u00ebn.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><em>Bijdrage aan de research agenda over \u2018social innovation\u2019<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Het is van groot belang om te begrijpen wat de relatie is tussen \u2018social innovation\u2019 en de impact van digitalisering van werk en om de uitdagingen vast te stellen voor de onderzoeks-agenda op het gebied van \u2018social innovation\u2019.<\/p>\n<p>Het hoofdstuk begint met een discussie over de impact van democratie op de werkvloer en de relevantie daarvan voor \u2018social innovation\u2019. Wat volgt is de definitie van \u2018actief werk\u2019, hoe actief werk ontworpen wordt en wat de (hypothetische) relatie is met sociaal actief gedrag. Dat laatste is van belang voor \u2018social innovation\u2019. Deze relatie wordt verder uitgewerkt.<\/p>\n<p>De auteurs zetten uiteen wat het belang is van het invoeren van werkorganisaties die actief werk ondersteunen (\u2018workplace innovation\u2019).<\/p>\n<p>Organisaties kunnen kiezen hoe zij hun werk organiseren. De auteurs beschrijven de opties die er zijn voor organisaties op dit gebied. Ze gaan in op wat organisaties kunnen doen om actief werk te cre\u00ebren en wat er in de weg staat om de beslissing te nemen om dat te doen.<\/p>\n<p>Voorts komt aan bod wat de risico\u2019s en kansen zijn van de digitalisering die er aan komt. Wat is de impact van digitale technologie en de platform-economie op de keuze (of niet) voor \u2018workplace innovation\u2019 en wat zijn \u2013 in het bijzonder \u2013 de gevolgen voor sociaal innovatief gedrag van burgers?<\/p>\n<p>Zo draagt dit hoofdstuk bij aan de Research Agenda voor \u2018social innovation\u2019 die in dit boek wordt voorgesteld.<\/p>\n<p>Het ontwikkelen van nieuwe praktijken op de werkvloer zal bevorderen dat ook nieuwe sociale praktijken en maatschappelijke betrokkenheid worden ontwikkeld. Deze gedachte roept diverse onderzoeksvragen op.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><em>Tien onderzoeksvragen, twee voorbeelden<\/em><\/p>\n<p>In het hoofdstuk worden 10 vraagstukken voor de onderzoeksagenda genoemd. Bijvoorbeeld:<\/p>\n<p>. Is digitalisering plooibaar? Hoe kan digitalisering worden ingezet op zo\u2019n manier dat het zowel actief werk als \u2018social innovation\u2019 bevordert?<\/p>\n<p>. Hoe kunnen managers ervan bewust worden gemaakt dat kwaliteit van arbeid hoogst belangrijk is voor hun zakelijk belang.
