Zij betogen dat ook voor nieuwe uitdagingen als de groene en digitale transities, \u2018WorkPlace Innovation\u2019 (WPI) of \u00a0\u2018sociale innovatie\u2019 essentieel is.<\/p>\n<p>Korte inhoud<\/p>\n<p>In de EU groeide het afgelopen decennium het besef dat naast technische innovatie sociale of organisatorische innovatie van belang is. Herhaaldelijk werd in onderzoek aangetoond dat WPI goed is voor de prestaties van organisaties.<\/p>\n<p>En de duurzame winst van WPI voor zowel bedrijven als publieke organisaties is dat het bijdraagt aan het versterken van het personeel; werkenden die betrokken zijn bij het verbeteren van de bedrijfsvoering in al haar aspecten en die hun taken op de best mogelijke manier uitvoeren.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>En toch blijkt uit de European Company Survey van 2019 dat slechts 20% van de Europese organisaties hoge investeringen doet in banen en mensen en in een hoge mate van medezeggenschap voor medewerkers.<\/p>\n<p>Er kunnen vele redenen aangevoerd worden waarom niet veel meer organisaties WPI omarmen: de macht der gewoonte, gebrek aan kennis, voorkeur voor \u2018command and control\u2019-management in plaats van management op basis van \u2018participatie en vertrouwen\u2019, negatieve arbeidsverhoudingen enz.<\/p>\n<p>Een belangrijke les is dat WPI niet vanzelf door de markt wordt bevorderd;
